East Bay Digital Sound is a San Francisco East Bay based company. The company is owned and operated by Rob Goldberg, a 40 year professional musician, entertainer, and sound & lighting technician.
When you hire EBDS, you work directly with Rob from beginning to end. EBDS is a full service sound & lighting company so you have equipment available to you that other mobile DJ's can't offer. I don't throw a couple of speakers in a car and show up. I drive a van pulling a 5x8 trailer of equipment. That way I am prepared for any kind of setup that the event/venue calls for.
I offer many features as a standard part of my quotes that most other DJ's charge extra for. Some examples are wireless microphone systems (hand held or lavalier), second sound systems for the ceremony, projection equipment for slideshows, no travel charges up to 75 miles each way (small travel charges for venues exceeding 75 miles each way), no charge for setup or breakdown time.
I also have very moderate charges for things like projected images (gobos) and custom music arranging.
I belong to quite a few music services. My music library already consists of 90,000 songs from every imaginable genre and decade. PLUS, when I am at your event, I am online to several music services which allow me to download any request made that I don't already have. I have never been stumped with a request.
I am really fun to work with. East Bay Digital Sound is a company formed because of my extreme love of music and entertaining. It is not my living. I have a very technical career for a living. I do music because I love it. So you never deal with someone who acts like they just need the money.
Just because my company does not consist of a lot of people does not mean that provisions are not always in place for unplanned issues. I always bring much more equipment than I need so that any component that fails unexpectedly (not likely) can be replaced with backup equipment. I also have backup DJ's in the very unlikely event that for some reason I cannot be onsite for your event.
I am fully licensed with a business license issued by Martinez, CA. I carry a $2M liability policy, which many venues require. I also carry a $50K policy on all my gear.
