DJ Obama plays School Safe songs

DJ Obama

Aretha, Sly and Al Green

When he’s not busy being commander in chief, President Obama apparently doubles as a deejay.

Asked in a wide-ranging interview by People magazine about the last time he danced, Obama replies that he and wife Michelle had an impromptu groove session with some friends at the White House: “Friday night. In the Yellow Oval. We had some guests over. It was a small group.”“Somebody wanted to dance,” Michelle Obama tells the glossy mag, which hits newsstands Friday. “And Barack was the deejay.”

So which songs are a part of DJ O’s playlist?

“We started with [Aretha Franklin’s] ‘Rock Steady.’ Sly and the Family Stone,” the president says. “Then we ended the night on Al Green, and everybody did a slow dance.”

NOTE:  All cleared as SAFE SONGS.  Way to go Prez.
